AssetVault Description

AssetVault is m Dimension Technology's digital asset management system, and is specifically targetted at secure, large-scale deployment scenarios. From its inception, AssetVault was been designed and built as a system for securely storing, searching, organizing, and delivering multi-terabyte asset collections. m Dimension Technology recognizes that to deploy a trusted asset management system in a secure environment, there must be an end-to-end secure WorkFlow that addresses any concerns or challenges that may arise against the system. AssetVault provides the tools required to efficiently and securely execute that workflow. Digital Signatures Digital Signatures are industry-standard mathematical functions that provide a mechanism for uniquely identifying pieces of data and revealing if the data has been modified. For every asset that is loaded into the system, AssetVault computes multiple digital signatures and stores these signatures with the asset as long as the asset remains in the system. The digital signatures of assets play a key role in proving that the assets remain unchanged as they are managed. Using multiple signature functions yields a more robust system which is protected from possible weaknesses that may arise from single signature functions. Import Audit Log As part of the AssetVault secure workflow, the system can produce hard-copy import audit logs that contain the assets thumbnails and digital signatures for storage outside of the system. This is particularly useful in the event that the system itself is challenged. On demand, AssetVault can recompute any particular assets digital signatures, which can then be compared against the original audit logs, thereby proving that the asset coming out of the system is mathematically identical to the asset that went into the system.
